IHM Marine can prepare a Ship Recycling Plan (SRP). In accordance with the 2011 Guidelines for the development of the Ship Recycling Plan, these guidelines provide ship owners and managing agents with recommendations for the development of a SRP that complies with the requirements of the 2009 Hong Kong Convention and the Ship Recycling Facility to develop a ship-specific SRP.
The Ship Recycling Facility Plan (SRFP) is the main document that is needed, prior to a ship being brought to the recycling yard. This document will outline to the ship-owner in order to incorporate all relevant information into the SRP that might affect its safe and environmentally safe recycling.
This information is taken from Parts I, II & III Tables A, B, C & D of the Inventory Hazardous Materials survey and the SRFP should provide sufficient detail to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the production processes.
